When it was time for Jared to complete his community service project before his Bar Mitzah, he thought about how he could help grant the wishes of New Jersey children with life-threatening medical conditions. He decided to start his own online airline miles drive through Make-A-Wish^® New Jersey’s Wishes in Flight^® program.

Jared coined his drive the ‘Miles for Smiles’ campaign had asked family and friends to visit the campaign page Make-A-Wish created for him and donate their airline miles. In less than two months 13-year-old Jared raised 300,000 miles for Make-A-Wish New Jersey. The miles will be used to purchase tickets for travel wishes, which account for more than 70% of the wishes granted by Make-A-Wish New Jersey.
